MSC Spain - Crosstrade
The Crosstrades Department was created in November 2003 as a consequence of the physical dispersal of export companies, which more and more often are located other place than the port or country of origin of the goods and with the aim of becoming a tool to expedite the documentary process and the transport chain.
The Crosstrades Department is located in Valencia, from where we attend our customers all over Spain.
No matter the product your company manufactures or where it is manufactured: our Crosstrades Department will send it to any place in the world where your customers are located.
MSC Spain, through its Crosstrades Department, will contact your company in order to provide you with the costs for haulage from the place where your product is located until its final destination, taking care of the whole process.
Once the quotation has been approved, your only task will be to provide us with the shipper's and consignee's full data.
The Crosstrades Department will send all the necessary information to the good's nearest MSC Agency in order to take care of your shipment (quantity of containers, agreed freight, shipper's data and so on).
Once the shipper has been contacted (company or delegation of your company any place in the world) and the containers have been stuffed and loaded on a MSC vessel, our agents will inform our Crosstrades Department of the vessel in which the containers have been loaded.
While the vessel is sailing to the port of destination, our agent at the port of loading will forward to our Crosstrades Department an electronical file containing all the necessary information to fill in the Bill of Lading.
Once the Bill of Lading has been issued, we will surrender a copy to your company so that you can forward it to the consignee at the port of destination in order to enable them to collect the cargo.
