MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company is pleased to announce that together with the Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) will soon be operating a new service linking India to Europe, called ISES (India Subcontinent Europe Service).

The new service, due to commence on 16th May 2009 from Colombo, will have the following rotation:

Colombo - Nhava Sheva – Mundra – Salalah - Port Said – Barcelona – Hamburg – Rotterdam – Felixstowe - Port Said – Jeddah - Colombo

Seven vessels with a capacity of approx. 4.300 teus will be deployed to offer a fixed day weekly service.

This service will be in addition to the already existing service that MSC operates from/to India to/from Europe (IPAK) and will allow Mediterranean Shipping Company to offer two weekly calls not only from/to North India to/from Europe but also from South/West/East India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, the latter in addition to the current MSC Australian/Europe service which calls at Colombo on a weekly basis.

This service shows once more MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company commitment to the trade and the constant growth of their Global network for the benefit of their customers.
