NEW DIRECT SERVICE BETWEEN NORTH EUROPE AND WEST AFRICA 16/10/2006

MSC is pleased to announce the introduction of a new direct service from North Europe to West Africa.

Commencing with the sailing of the MSC Togo from Antwerp on the 27th October 2006, MSC will provide a direct express weekly service deploying five vessels of 1,500 TEU on the following port rotation:

Antwerp – Felixstowe – Le Havre – Las Palmas – Tema – Abidjan – Las Palmas – Antwerp

This new service will enable MSC to offer excellent transit times from North European Ports to Tema and Abidjan together with improved transhipment connections via Las Palmas on MSC’s dedicated shuttle services to Dakar, Lomé, Cotonou, Lagos and Douala.

Between its existing extensive coverage of West Africa and with the introduction of this new direct service from North Europe, MSC will now consolidate its position as one of the premier carriers offering comprehensive port coverage, schedule integrity and excellent transit times to and from West Africa.
