In view of the strong increase in westbound volumes our service is facing a growing gap between inbound and outbound cargo flows, which has led to European port congestion, vessel scheduling difficulties, equipment shortages in certain areas and unsustainable levels of expenditure managing the situation. Considering also the unprecedent high cost level of bunker and the important depreciation of USD vs. other currencies, it becomes adamant that with all-inclusive-less-than-marginal-rates the Line would better devote more space to ship empty containers ex Europe to Asia for a prompt remunerative utilization.

In order to make the service viable the only solution was to adopt a new tariff as from October the 1st that will comprise (ALL) clear elements for Ocean Freight, THCs in Europe and Asia, Outport Additionals in Europe and Asia and surcharges such as, but not limited to, BAF and CAF. Please also note the full application of said new tariff for any "new business" quoted meantime.

We believe that our reasons are clear and appreciated and we are confident that through the implementation of the new tariff we shall be in position to keep the required level of service needed in the Europe / Asia trade .
